My husband's passion is his motorcycle. Since it's so cold out right now, and his bike is covered up, I grabbed the next best thing I could find...his helmet, gloves, and they key to his baby.

No flash used, only light from the window. Camera settings were iso 400 f/1.8 1/8ss

For those of you following along, yes I skipped a bunch of days.  I started this project a week late, and I'm playing catch up.  I'll be doing day 3 later on today, but when I received this assignment last night I knew exactly what I was going to do and figured I might as well get this out of the way while the kids were at school.

This is generally the look I get any time I want to get pictures of either of my kids. She just had a birthday, and since I had my studio set up from a session from yesterday I figured I would try and get her birthday pictures done. Instead I get this!

A special gift

The beautiful Mrs. S decided to step outside her comfort zone and have some boudoir shots taken for her husband for Valentines day.  She took advantage of my "Sweet & Sexy" package, and although was very nervous at first warmed up to the camera and we got some amazingly beautiful pictures for the love of her life.

This is just a sneak peak, as the rest are for his eyes only! :)

Day 1 ~ What They Do

The directions for Day 1 was to capture someone or something you love doing what they do.  Skylar has been working very hard this year on learning how to read and I wanted to document that for Day one of the Joy of Love Project.  I'm so proud of the progress she has made so far!

Because I found this amazing project just yesterday, I have a few days of catch up to do, but I'm hoping to double up in the next few days and be on track.  Tomorrow's assignment is Passion & Hobbies, plus I'm going to do Day 2 which was How They Look.

Maternity Session!

I'm so very grateful that I got to have my husband home with the girls and I for Christmas this year.  We had his parents and sister and her son over for Christmas dinner, and ended the day by laying on the couch, stuffed from all the turkey, ham,. and all the other goodies we gorged ourselves on while the kids played with the toys that Santa brought for them. 

I'm also grateful that I was asked to photograph holiday pictures for these families...
